White Carrara Marble Coffee Table - Oval
  • While Tulip Tables generally come in dining table formations, innovation in design and aesthetics have ensured that it be available in more than one usable designs. This is why the White Carrara Marble Tulip Coffee Table is such an atypical but much-needed take on the usual Tulip Table design. It features a beautiful Carrara marble table-top with delicate grey veins - which has been imported all the way from Tuscany - along with a solid cast-aluminum base in a semi-gloss finish. This is the same marble that has been used to sculpt the famous David Sculpture in Italy. The White Carrara Marble Tulip Coffee table offers an easy assembly along with a chip-resistant surface treatment, which makes it one of the most desirable tulip table formations for casual interior designs.

    Material & Feature:
    • Natural Stone imported from Tuscany
    • Fewer veins with a seamless white background
    • Same marble used for the infamous David Scuplture (in Italy)
    • Special surface treatment resistant to chipping with gloss finish
    • Easy Assembly
    • Size 20" - Ø20" x Height: 15.4"

  • Finnish-American Eero Saarinen (1910 –1961) was famous for varying his style according to the demands of the project. His father taught at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, where Eero took classes and formed relationship with fellow student Florence Knoll. Saarinen studied sculpture at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris, France, and later at the Yale School of Architecture, completing his studies in 1934. He joined the US Military, where he was assigned to draw illustrations for bomb disassembly manuals and to provide designs for the Situation Room in the White House. He founded his own office in 1950, after his father’s death. His first success, the “Tulip Chair” was produced by the Knoll company, beginning a long relationship between Knoll and Saarinen. While still working for his father, he won the design competition for the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, in St. Louis, aka the Gateway Arch.
